Re: iPhone 6 Plus support

. Putting a "wish list" on a online forum to create discussion about a new product isn't the end of the world. I certainly didn't mean to sound disrespectful Mrcodvd and apologise if I did. I guess my point was just because a new product is released by the all conquering Apple, the whole ...

Re: iPhone 6 Plus support

No offence but that's just silly. We really should put a bit of thought into the practicalities of what we are discussing before making flippant wish list calls. Isn't it amazing enough to have a full blown 48 track studio on an ipad? Why wish for something simply because a newer smaller device just...

Re: Headphones?

I got some Focal Spirit Pro's recently to use when making music on the iPad, at least around the house. <SNIP> the Focals are amazing, completely blew me away how good they sounded. Mixed a song using those, and when I put it up on my mastering speakers later, I only had a couple tiny mix fixes to ...

Re: Headphones?

As other posters have said, you do get what you pay for. That said, for me there'd be two factors in play. If you're using a headphone amplifier, and what tasks you want to cover. I use 3 different types of headphones. All reasonably priced. Tracking : Its important to find a set for tracking that h...

Re: It's alive! Focusrite iTrack Dock released.

yes it appears to have some limitations....    then again, its always good to keep in mind that not everyone has the same requirements for any one piece of gear. for some, what the iTrack offers may be just fine. its clear that dominic knows his onions and he certainly seems to ...

Re: Motorcycle accident

Jeepers, thank heaven you weren't seriously seriously injured or worse. My brother rides bikes and there have been two times when I was staring into the abyss knowing he'd been in an accident. Best of luck for a swift and full recovery and lots more great musical tech info!

Cheers,

Re: Mac desktop version?

Definitely not "beating you up" but that's kind of counterproductive isn't it? We all have "big studio" DAWs ( be they small home studios or larger installations) so Auria is allowing us to be mobile in our music making. eg I made it to Auria after a couple of Xmas holidays with ...

Re: Fabfilter plugins: 40% off sale until April 24th

AST=Apple Standard Time, which seems just as mysterious as everything else they do. In some respects, Apple is quite Orwellian. Understatement of the century. :D  :P For such a hip innovative company, Apple do some seriously strange shit. Their proprietary grip on 3rd party software aside, the...

Re: Irig mic and auria

Hey markie I went ahead and bought the 96k apogee mic and im actually floored by its quality. sounds great. best price I can see on eBay is about US$275. that's a bit exxy, but nothing compared to my other studio mics really. just wondering if it's the ease of use that would be the selling point ( ...

Re: Storage Solutions for iPad with Auria

I bought Airstash just before I hopped a plane travelling so haven't had a chance to mess with it other than to get photos to DL wirelessly to my iPad for editing in Lightroom. But when I get home I plan to use it as a portable storage system to transfer projects to SD. I have iFun loaded but to dat...
