Re: Multiple track record levels & Seamless joining of secti
Thanks Anthony for the information. Unfortunately I tend to focus on a specific area and often overlook the bigger picture. In this case I was working in the edit window and forgot that what I created there showed up in the Piano Roll. Only the other day I remember reading about Velocity in the manu...

Multiple track record levels & Seamless joining of sections
Having looked at the manual and on the forum I have not found anything that addresses the following question. For example, when creating a drum part for a MIDI backing track, and you wish to have the drum part at a fairly high level to begin with, then lowering the volume of the drum part as other V...

Re: MIDI & Live Vocal in the Same project
Hi Washboy, Great, thanks so much for your input, it went like a breeze. It's often frustrating when you look for hours or days trying to find an answer to something and it's actually so simple. Next time I'm visiting my family in Sunderland (my wife and I live 80 miles South of Seattle in the USA),...

MIDI & Live Vocal in the Same project
I recently asked this question in a forum post. Is the adding of Reverb limited to the project you are creating within Auria, or can I use Auria with the Alesis iO Dock II, mic attached, and add Reverb to my live vocal? Someone answered. General you need to open a project every time you use Auria, i...

Re: Drum Looping
Thank you for the tip, but could you explain what this does. Further research into how to join MIDI clips together and have the timing right where the clips are joined suggests I look at "MIDI Overdubbing" is this correct or is this something entirely different?
Thanks
Thanks

Drum Looping
Hi All, I have spent a few hours trying to come up with an answer to the following 2 questions, so hopefully someone can help me. If I am creating a MIDI backing track and want a track with a drum beat at (120 Tempo and 4/4 Signature) for the duration of the song, say 5 minutes, what is the best way...

Backing Track Workflow
Hi All, Since my last several posts I have been familiarizing myself with Auria including tutorials at Lynda.com. Now that I am at the point where I am actually attempting to create a backing track of an existing song, I am faced with what type of workflow would be easier. In writing an actual music...

Re: Sounds in Lyra Distorted
No Tovokas, I was not aware of that. In short, sound distortion occurs in the lows and the highs. Is there any chance you could send me an example of how you would do this? As for the 2GB Ivory Piano, I am a keyboard player, and very interested in having the Ivory Piano. Only last night I downloaded...

Re: Sounds in Lyra Distorted
Hi Rim, I only downloaded Auria two weeks ago and am in the process of familiarizing myself with the program. I don't yet know how to change the sample rate, however, I tried rebooting my iPad, and trying a new project but the problem persists. As regards the sample rate, I assume it is 44.1 as that...

Re: Bugs in Piano Roll Editor
Hi, I came across your thread looking for an answer to the distorted sounds in Lyra, and noticed you are having the same problem that I am having. I'm new to Auria Pro which I have installed on a recently purchased iPad Air 2. In the piano roll, the top 1/3rd of the black keys plays the note above i...

Sounds in Lyra Distorted
I opened up Lyra today and selected the default sound (Grand Piano) but the sound was extremely distorted, so much so you could not recognize it to be a piano at all. However, the sounds in the piano roll are working fine. I deleted the old track and added a new one after exiting the program and loa...

Re: Alesis iO Dock II, Auria and Reverb for live performance
Ohmnoise, the information you gave me really helps. I don't just want to (Select), an option, I want to know (Why) I am selecting that option. This in turn will increase my understanding of how other things work.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Re: Alesis iO Dock II, Auria and Reverb for live performance
Thanks for the help Ohmnoise, However, you mention changing the buffer size to 128, then further down in your post you mention it’s better to have a higher buffer size when in a live situation. When implementing your recommendations, the buffer size selected was 512. Am I missing something, did you ...

Re: Getting Started with Auria Pro
Thanks "Tovokas" for your advice, it is so true, and I shall certainly do as you suggest. I remember many years ago getting my first computer, I was so computer illiterate that I didn’t want to switch it on in case I messed something up. I even called a computer geek in to switch it on and...
