Don't want to further derail this thread but know I'm with you. People have lost their freaking minds when it comes to cost:value with regards to the App Store. Stopping for me has more to do with focussing on creating and not adding more tools. I have plenty!

Mic'ing the back of a cabinet can be used to make a pseudo stereo guitar effect by spreading the front and back mics. Usually you need to flip the phase on the back one if you want the mix to work in mono.

@geronimo certainly not questioning their quality or bang for the buck. Just, no matter how badly I want them, I don't really need them yet. I need to finish songs worth mixing! Then I'll need them.

That seems weird to me. If you don't need to hear any auria processing in your input track, and your interface allows direct monitoring of your input signal I think you don't want to monitor via auria as that just introduces latency. No?

You might want to check out midimorphis. You can import a wave file and it does a pretty respectable job of outputting midi. You'd then need to use an app like genome to trigger a synth with the midi and line it back up in auria (until auria has full midi support that is) http://discchord.com/blog/2...

Put your iPad in airplane mode. Saves battery and (supposedly) some other background mojo. This was a big one for me recently: pinch with vigor . Rim and (I think) ZenLizard recommended it in a thread and it's made a significant difference in my working speed. The IR reverb may not work if you start...

You might want to check out the aufx:space app. It does some nice endlessy reverbs. You can run it as an effect in audiobus. Not sure if you can copy a sound into though.

Midi itself is simple. Applications of midi are really wide ranging and can get fairly complex. Most of it is pretty straightforward though. @Zenlizard nailed it. Actually, you can set Loopy as the clock master with funkbox - Auria doesn't work that way though. Not sure why at this point.

but funkbox will start auria so you can use the funkbox start button on the audiobus panel. hope to do more auria+random apps+midi bridge experimenting this week. Will report any good news.

Yep, apple. Happens with the Sonoma pasteboard too. You name the file before pasting but if you don't explicitly hit 'done' you lose the name.

I wonder if we could talk the MIDI Bridge developer into making a HUI mode translation layer?
