According to Rim answering me a JamUp question back in April, the inapp JamUp provides 24 bit effect processing while the standalone version gets the 16 bit treatement:

Re: Is 16GB iPad enough? HELP
I'm fine with 16GB. I'm thinking of getting one more, 16 GB, for music-only apps.
My current 16GB Ipad 3 has a lot of games for the kids. Without these I think I can have a few more projects on the Ipad.

Re: audio interface + usb keyboard
Some apps can record sound and midi at the same time/take. So, yes, it is possible:

Re: New GarageBand update...
I tried on my IPhone. It works from the song list menu. Hold the song til it shakes. Push the square button with an arrow inside. Push the bottom rightmost icon that looks like an A. Chose quality of the export. Open in other app (in my case MultiTrackDaw) with the button in the upper right corner.

Re: New GarageBand update...
Best thng: can export drum/bass grooves directly to auria in full aiff format :) ...I got the impression that off-line export from Garageband is not possible (not counting the mailing trick - export though the outbox as mp4 - which I never tried). Details, please. I have not yet gone iOS7, but if G...

Re: Griffin Studio Connect bit & sample rate
...It is the "charging-Ipad" feature you want, right? I think both the 30-pin and lightning-version of Studio Connect are 16-bit. At least that was my impression a year back when I read about the 30-pin version. However, there is a new Griffin Studio Connect HD on the way, where HD may mea...

Re: Audio Interface advice please.....
I have Apogee One, the old model. Works without any problems. Usb-hub needed though. But I use a portable battery to run it. Garage Band is needed for input switching as Maestro doesn't support it.

Yes. Must try it. Whatever that will help the work flow is great. Connecting to itunes isn't.

Re: Is there yet an offline transfer from GB to Auria?
Yes. I got that bit: It needs to be converted to mp4 in this workaround. The outbox for me is not yet sent mail as there is no connection. A place to read unsent messages. I'm not using the Ipad for mail so I refer to what it is called on my pc.

Re: Is there yet an offline transfer from GB to Auria?
Thanks! Nice video. Using the outbox instead of actually sending the email is a good trick, which differs from your video instruction. Someone in your comment field experienced bad audio of the mp4 imports. But I guess I could inport them again trough itunes when I get back if it sounds too bad. My ...
