Re: Can you record at 96kHz if the interface maximum is 48kH
The higher the bit rate and sample rate, the more accurate the conversion. That's only true to a point, and that specific point depends on the hardware FWIW. I tell most people the safest and best sounding option if you're not sure is to always work at your target sample rate, in this case 44.1kHz....

Re: Can you record at 96kHz if the interface maximum is 48kH
I'm guessing it can't be done, and more importantly, why would you even want to?

Re: Rode ixy
It's a shame Rode bought the app from Audiofile Engineering instead of letting them manage it, would likely not have so many bugs

Re: Optimizing iPad air for Auria
Correct. The UI can slow down a little if you have a lot of audio tracks too though.

Re: Optimizing iPad air for Auria
By default new Auria projects load in an optimized state, thing that could affect the CPU like low latency or the 64bit mixer are turned off until you turn them on.

Re: Audio output levels / Mastering tutorial
Personally I would trust the detailed meter, but anytime you see red on a master meter it means you're clipping which is bad. You could use the default PSP limiter to tame those little peaks, or as has been mentioned before in this thread, the much better Pro-L version. Here's a simple mastering gui...

Yep, Beatport is probably the easiest place to get it, and there's a lot more like it for free at Tarekith.com too. Thanks!

Re: Record IAA effect into auria
Just solo that track and export/render the song, then drag that new render to a new track. Unfortunately we can't do intertrack routing in Auria, though I would love to see it.

On average 1 minute of 16bit audio is roughly 100MB.

Re: Charging iPad
There's USB hubs that will do the trick, just make sure that they specifically say they can charge Apple devices, because not all can. I like the Plugable brand Hubs myself.

Re: Syncing/recording Alchemy in Auria as IIA
Ditto, I just record freely then line up the start afterwards.
There might be some form of sync that's working with alchemy, but honestly midi sync on iOS is still convoluted and time consuming, I generally just ignore it for now.

Re: Alchemy IAA
No, but it can be a lot more convenient I find. My Alchemy still appears or disappears depending on what other apps I have installed. I thought it was EchoPad that was hiding it, but now I can see both. Sigh....

Re: Alchemy and Auria
There's no input in Alchemy, it's just a synthesizer. But you can access it as an IAA "effect" in Auria instead of via Audiobus if you want.
