Re: Good Piano, Hammond and Drum sounds ?

In the end I got IK Sampletank too. Very handy for the drum sounds.

Thanks for the pointers.

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"

For me, it's quite nice to have a per-track limiter when doing overdubs. Instead of spending ages with compressors, you can record a new track, turn the limiter on and bring it up in the mix without killing all the other tracks. A limiter on the Master out doesn't work in the same way. It's just my ...

Re: Good Piano, Hammond and Drum sounds ?

igrand by IK sounds good on YouTube demos. I'll give it a shot. Thanks. I also just found C3B3 which makes excellent Hammond sounds, but no recording, and no update for 18 months, so I doubt it will get an Audiobus upgrade. I'll have to plug my keyboard into my iPhone and play into the iPad. Live. J...

Good Piano, Hammond and Drum sounds ?

I'm after good piano, Hammond and acoustic drum kit sounds for the iPad. I need to be able to trigger them with a Midi keyboard. I have NanoStudio, which is fantastic but doesn't make these kind of 'real' sounds. I have Magellan, which likewise isn't much good at these things. I have Pianist Pro, an...

Limiter per track

I would very much like a limiter on each track. Either a sophisticated one like the Master Track version, or something simpler. There are effectively two versatile limiters on the Master Strip, but none on the channels. At the moment, I can use Normalize, but as it's destructive, I can only use it s...

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS

It depends what interface you have, but you can record the synth as it stands into Auria, then put a compressor on the track. If you want a limiter too, then that's on the Master channel FX. Then play that out of Auria into the spring reverb and record the output of the reverb into Auria. You now ha...

Re: Why no MIDI in Auria? Cheaper apps are offering more!

Nobody should ever buy an app based on functionality is doesn't have. Getting upset about a feature which exists but doesn't work is completely different from getting upset about a feature which you think it should have. Developers are put under pressure endlessly by whingers who want everything, ri...

Re: Why no MIDI in Auria? Cheaper apps are offering more!

Nah, I'd rather they rush it, do a lousy job of it, introduce a load more bugs, make the app unstable and then ignore user requests to fix it.

Sorry, I thought I was on the Presonus forum for a moment.

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS

If you've got real synths and a real spring reverb I would use a real compressor or limiter between them.

Not sure how this question relates to Auria - have I misunderstood something?

Re: ipad4 & Auria

BTW its my understanding that the lightning connector has only 8 connectors, duplicated on the opposite side so the plug can go in either way. You're right, I'm talking rubbish. The 8 pins go all the way through from one side to the other, so there are only 8, not 16. And the chassis counts as grou...

Re: Auria track export question

Auria will have Audiobus soon and Midi is on the list. The devs at Wavemachine Labs have been good at doing what they say they will. More importantly to me, the bug-fixes come quickly with Auria. Auria is 24 bit rather than Cubasis 16 bit. Cubasis has some synth and drum sounds, which means I may bu...

Re: Auria track export question

I also use Studio One and have made this feature request. At the moment there's no good way to get files out of Auria into S1. You have to solo each track, do a mixdown and export the mix as the track, starting at 00:00. On to the next track etc................ I don't know what, if anything is bein...

Re: Slower iPads?

By the way how do I back up everything I have recorded from Auria? If you have lots of upload bandwidth on your internet connection, then an iCloud backup is convenient because it copies everything from pretty much every app to the Cloud, and then when you login with your Apple ID to your new devic...
