Re: [ ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION ABOUT IAA ]
Uhm well, with Audiobus, it isn't possible AFAIK, so I was just asking... or can you insert an Audiobus synth into a Beatmaker track, and then hear Beatmaker's insert effects live on the signal from the synth?

Re: [ ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION ABOUT IAA ]
I think he meant if the live output of an IAA insert can be processed by subsequent Auria insert effects, and the processed output heard live while playing the synth -- just like in a desktop DAW.
That would be interesting to know for me as well

Re: Auria introduces Inter-app Audio support!
I somehow have a feeling that multiple instances of the same app - no matter if standalone or via IAA - won't be coming too soon... I assume the whole OS architecture is made around the "One app - one instance" concept and a lot of changes would have to be made by Apple at a low level, for...

Re: iOS synths
@G-Master G: You don't need a multitimbral synth though. You can easily have several seperate synth Apps controlled through the same sequencer at the same time by using different MIDI channels.

Re: AURIA for the iPHONE???
NanoStudio is the perfect living example that it is actually possible to put a fully-fledged studio into a streamlined iPhone UI, with a bit of thought. If anything, Wavemachine Labs should use that as a prototype for Auria on iPhone (and for Christ's sake, NOT Beatmaker 2!!!)

CONGRATULATIONS! This UI overhaul is a big milestone and probably vastly underestimated by many. Good stuff!

Re: Which add-on first?
An analyzer which could overlay several signals is also vital for mastering when you want to compare your spectral balance to a reference signal's... so, even though it's off-topic... yeah, I can only agree

Re: View Full file names!
Rim: As a quick workaround, how about when truncating long filenames for display, split it in the MIDDLE and show the beginning and ending? For example, foobar-very-very-long.wav turns into foobar-v...ong.wav ?

Re: BPM display. Am I missing something?
As to wanting to change the BPM frequently, that really seems odd, especially in an app that does not do MIDI, and thus changing the BPM in the middle of a production pretty much destroys it no matter what... Even in a totally MIDI-based workflow, I change the speed of a song at most 1 or two times ...

Re: Comparing spectra while mastering
Hey, that looks interesting - though it doesn't have a way to compare spectra, and I'm not sure I'd trust my mastering to a totally unknown manufacturer... thanks though anyway

Re: Anxiously awaiting...
Yep... Wavemachine Labs should get that going pretty quickly until some of the "big names" do... because when MIDI/Instrmuents arrive in Auria, it'll pretty much get 100% of the professional iOS music market (it probably already has 50% ;-)) BTW, it's funny how a pretty small company has m...

Re: Comparing spectra while mastering
OK, that's a pretty "rough" way of adjusting EQ though :) The "Whatever sounds best" part is the problem, as I quite quickly fall victim to listening fatigue and my ears become very non-linear... I'd really like something more accurate... Anyone? Or does nobody in the world compa...

Comparing spectra while mastering
Hi, I wonder if there is any way to overlay two spectra - one of the current master, and one of a reference track? When mastering, I've come to the habit of constantly comparing the spectral balance of my song with another commercial reference production because I don't always trust my ears / speake...
