Re: How to get a real deep reverb out of Aurias plug ins?
I believe there are no restrictions with a convolution reverb. I haven't tried it out yet, but with a long tailed reverb IR it should be possible. With the standard Cubase convolution reverb I've also done amp, EQ, and tape simulations, no problem at all. I don't see a reason why this shouldn't be p...

Re: Mackie Control Universal Issue
ah, thanks for the clarification. I was wondering what this Device ID should do, that is not familiar to me.

Re: Compatable Sequencers
well I'm glad it does, that's what counts. Often enough it's the other way round (with "correct" settings, and not working), isn't it?
analept, do you use a wired connection to your hardware, or wifi?

Re: Compatable Sequencers
hm, theoretically this should not work, because BM2 is not able to send MTC, only MIDI clock. Could it be you used different settings than in your screen shots?

Re: AURIA Tips & Tricks
well when resources are scarce, doubling and moving a track might be better. Although I guess a mono delay won't use much resources. I think it doesn't matter, both methods have advantages.

Re: AURIA Tips & Tricks
Stereo enhancer trik true, but why not use a delay for this? That's the old trick we synthesiser players did (and do) it. Synths were strictly mono in the old days. I think Jean-Michel Jarre did this with the entire mix in his first album. All tracks hard left, and a delay hard right. Simple, but e...

Re: MIDI Time Code (MTC)
yes it is a Core Audio problem I guess. Or also Core MIDI, it happens often with the iRig MIDI as well. That's why I cannot recommend those two interfaces I have, they are very unreliable and rather for experimental use in the studio. But for syncing one needs a wired connection, wifi is out of the ...

Re: Mackie Control Universal Issue
the QCon has a Logic MCU emulation, and it works, including mute/solo/etc., only in one way. I had the same thing with a BCF2000 (via wifi), only one way. Besides, the QCon works with Auria also in Cubase MCU mode. I guess like the BCF2000 which does not have a special Logic MCU emulation, just a ge...

MIDI Time Code (MTC)
today I was able to make it work. Cubase (master) controls Auria (slave), and both DAW's are in perfect sync. This is very nice. Thank you WaveMachine Labs. However, there are a couple of problems. First, why do we have to tap the play button in Auria to make it run? Makes no sense to me. Other prob...

Re: Mackie Control Universal Issue
I have an ICON QCon controller that emulates Cubase/Logic/Live MCU. It can receive data from Auria, the motor faders move when I move faders in Auria, but not the other way round. Probably that naming bug, although in Auria the QCon is listed with the same name in the input and output section. On an...

Re: Interapp Sync
I see, thanks for the tip. Indeed, I remember having Loopy as slave, and Funkbox as master. From my routine I prefer to have the recorder as master, but actually it doesn't matter today.

Re: Interapp Sync
Funkbox not starting with MIDI clock confirmed. One has to use other apps like Loopy to record a pattern from Funkbox, and transfer the audio file to Auria.

Re: Charging iPad while connected to interface
the Tascam iU2 has one, and charges the iPad at the same time.jeezs wrote:digital output.
Not the best interface because it has some problems with sampling rates (which can be avoided by leaving a plug in the headphone socket), but not too bad. In the studio I usually use the digital output.

Re: Audio Interface advice please.....
surely a good purchase. I was in the same situation, thinking about a good solution (the Tascam iU2 I have was not reliable enough), and finally 'gave up' and bought the Apogee duet. For the first time I have 'good' or 'professional' converters now, and technically my recordings with the iPad will b...
