Re: New update issue
That's correct, the convolution reverb can't be used while Auria is recording (or while a record enable button is on), because it's not designed to be used with low latency. ClassicVerb will work fine for recording, however. The feedback you're hearing is most likely coming from FabFilter Micro. Mic...

Re: v1.02 Update Background Audio Mode
Hi Robert, We made a change to 1.02, where we disabled Auria mixing with other background audio. The reason we did this is because Auria has very strict requirements for it's buffer size and sample rate, and allowing other app's audio to mix with Auria's caused many issues in the first version. Back...

Re: Auria crash after download demo song......
That's strange, as it works great here on all our iPads. What model iPad are you using?
Do you have enough free disk space? This could cause the issue. Please check the amount of space available. You can do this by going to the iPad settings.

Re: Fireface ucx only 8 input?
It's something that RME is working on, but they haven't released an updated version of the firmware yet. I suggest e-mailing them and asking for this to be released.

Re: Effects and memory
Yes, exactly. If you put the buffer at 4096, it is the largest, and this means better CPU performance.
So, while recording:
128 = greatest CPU usage / least amount of delay (no noticeable delay in recording)
4096 = lowest CPU usage / most amount of delay (very noticeable delay in recording)

Re: New update issue
We've noticed this here as well. You can safely ignore that message. It doesn't actually crash.
This only seems to happen if you "force close" Auria by deleting it from the app list (double-clicking on the home button).
We'll address this in the next update.
Thanks,
Rim

Thanks, I haven't looked at that issue yet. It might be something specific related to those programs. I'll address that in the next update for sure.

Re: AAF import problem
Doug,
Try downloading the latest Auria update, 1.02. This should fix the aaf offset issues.
Navpack,
Thanks. It's possible that there's an issue with detecting the sample rate when using aiff files. I'll make a note to look into that.

Hi guys, I've contacted Mu Technologies about these issues, and they are working to resolve them. I've asked them to post directly in this thread if they need more info.
Thanks,

Yes, v1.02 has been approved, but we haven't made the announcement yet, as it's still not available in all the app stores around the world (it takes several hours).

That option already exists. It's called "Auto Return". You can set this in the transport options (press the transport counter).

Re: Effects and memory
No problem at all. The latency setting adjusts how large the buffer is. With a large buffer, it is harder to overload the CPU, and with a small buffer it is easier to overload the CPU. Of course, with a larger buffer, there is also a noticeable delay if you are singing or playing guitar, etc. So it'...

Re: Estimating recording capacity
Gary, A quick rule of thumb is "10MB per stereo minute". This is for a 44.1 sample rate. If your iPad has 64GB (that's 64000MB), in theory, you have 6400 minutes, or 106.7 hours for stereo. If your project is 8 tracks, divide that by 4, etc. Of course, you probably don't have 64GB free if ...
