Re: Amp/Pedal Modelling

Man, that sounds great. Got that bite to it I've been trying to get. I have mostly played acoustic guitar and electric bass, so my chops are not where I want them to be yet. 8)

Re: Best Bass Guitar Amplifier Plug In for AURIA?

I like the plain amplitube bass amp. I also picked up the 1950s Fender Bassman amp model in amplitube, and it sounds most excellent.

Re: Auria Output to Bluetooth Speaker

That seems odd. So the only way to output to iLoud from Auria is via a cable from the headphone jack? Nuts, I was hoping it would be simpler than that. Why can't Auria output to Bluetooth? I just assumed that if one were connected to bluetooth, any sound from the iPad would follow that path.

Auria Output to Bluetooth Speaker

I was having a problem today trying to hook up my iPad to an IK Multimedia iLoud, to try it out. Could not get Auria to output to it. Got youtube to do it for a short spell. I just assumed that connecting with a bluetooth speaker would direct the sound out there.

Re: Monitoring Systems

Definitely thinking about going for the nice headphones. Really, that much for a world class set of headphones, vs. how much a treated room and monitoring system would be, makes it hard to walk away from. The iLoud would do for what I have, and what I can fit in, so the nice cans are the thing to sp...

Re: iOS8 at the door..

I could care less about the iOS update, and Auria is by far the most important iOS app I have. So no iOS upgrade until I have Auria ready to go. And I do use Audiobus.

Re: Monitoring Systems

Well, I know what I'd like to do, but with two daughters in university, and having just spent close to $700 building a stratocaster for myself, I'm not thinking I'm going to be spending a couple of grand on monitors any time soon, sadly. What I'm working on is what is possible. I may just go for a r...

Re: Saving to Dropbox

Like a sensible boy, I tried this. Saved to Dropbox. Can then delete the project off the iPad. Open from Dropbox. Gets reinstalled onto the iPad. Nice and simple. Should add that to the docs.

Saving to Dropbox

Does this then remove the files from the iPad? Can you move a project back to the iPad if you want to work on it again locally?

The docs are good on this stuff, telling you how to do things, but not exactly what the consequences are.

Monitoring Systems

Was reading the headphones thread, and it got me to thinking a lot. I won't describe my current monitoring situation, as it's not much. It strikes me as the next thing I need to look at. A nice simple solution that doesn't take up a lot space and would have multiple uses is the iLoud. It's not hugel...

Re: Recording Levels not Being Set Before Pressing Play

Ah, thanks for the reply. I'll check out the volume on Amplitube recorder. I didn't even think to look there, as I assumed it was not part of the chain. Tone was excellent as it was, so not too much distortion on it. Or at least, the distortion that was there was what I wanted. :D

Recording Levels not Being Set Before Pressing Play

I use amplitube for electric guitar and bass. I run it through Audiobus into Auria. I arm the track, I press the record button. Input levels are crazy high. Nothing I want to do in Amplitube works. I want the tone and gain I have set, but I can't seem to adjust the volume anyway. I press the track r...

It did, thanks for taking the time.

I'm just getting back into recording after many years not doing so, and I'm learning all over again. Got to develop my ears more too.

Re: Amp/Pedal Modelling

Thanks, after posting, I was able to find Jam Up. Lots of other possibilities there, too, in your list. Going to have to check them out. I'm both a guitarist and a bassist, I found the basic Amplitube bass amp to be quite decent. With the two bundles I purchased, I got a 59 Fender Bassman model, and...
