Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS
What plugins etc would you recommend for mixing mainly vocals? is there a good reverb with lots of presets? (ie for someone who doesn't know what all the dials do) i'm probably going to grab a copy of Pro-Q FabFilter tonight any other suggestions for using inbuilt controls or extra plugins would be...

Re: Are there no presets with JamUp?!?
Appreciate the reply, Rim.
I'd also mention to them that they need to greatly expand the description of the app in the Auria manual... it's astonishingly inadequate. Specifically, it should include the fact that there are NO presets.

Are there no presets with JamUp?!?
I just started to use this in-app purchase and I'm a little non-plussed to find it has absolutely no presets! Nothing to get you started on whatsoever. Unless I'm missing something here? I've tried re-loading the applet, resetting the iPad (V4, 128GB), and deleting and reloading Auria. All I see in ...

Re: Off topic - Noise Reduction for iOS?
I'm finding that judicious notching with FabFilter Pro-Q works quite well, but it will obviously depend upon the type of noise you have to contend with.

Manual for Auria 1.06 is nice, but...
Gents, if I might make a suggestion, PLEASE include the great "Closer Look" features from your blog into the manual at the appropriate places, or as an addendum at the very least. This material really should be all in one place.

Re: Bug report
Rim, just so we all know, what is the downside (Auria specific) for being jailbroken?Rim wrote:Is your iPad Jailbroken?
Rim
(Personally, I happily use my iPad 1 JB, especially to have quick access via SB Settings to kill all background app and processes.)
Thanks,

Re: Auria 1.05 Won't Launch
If you're on the Mac, then iFunBox is the BEST filer to use. It makes transfers to and from the iDevice painless and super fast. Highly recommended.

Re: Warning JamUp plugin destroys your projects.
Rim,
Can you comment on what we need to do once the new version (1.05) is released WRT JamUp? Will we need to delete Auria (from the iPad) and then re-install and restore purchases to fully implement the fix?

Re: Questions for Auria & NanoStudio Users
If you plan to try what I do, be aware that it's not trivial to do a Mixdown of only a Send channel in NanoStudio, as they aren't soloable: You have to leave all channels on (un-muted, un-soloed), mute the unwanted send, then in the Master channel, insert 3 (three!) "5th Planet" plugins *before* th...

Re: Questions for Auria & NanoStudio Users
I've switched to an iOS production pipeline (except final mastering step) over the past year or so, and I find NanoStudio's internal effects pretty good (the reverb sucks though). That's pretty much what I'm doing too. As you say, it's a pity the NS reverb is so weak, as the other effects are reall...

Re: Questions for Auria & NanoStudio Users
Uhm, he's probably not saying that they're "broken", but referring to the fact that on most channels, the corresponding instrument will not be generating audio during the entire song, thus large portions of the generated WAV files will be silent and thus show a flat line (which is obviously not "br...

Re: Questions for Auria & NanoStudio Users
@Andyxr Thanks for the reply. Seems like I'm on the right track. @CEIsar Sorry, not sure I know what you mean by the "broken" reference. I did try audio copy/paste from NS to Auria, but as it was a fairly complete song, it must have exceeded some limit so I abandoned that method and did it by transf...
