Re: Our album released today, mixed 100% in auria

Thank you Mr. Amser! I'm looking forward to hearing your project! Mixing at the end of those long days is a challenge, but I feel lucky that we are able to get together and focus to create for that one week each summer. Now I've been told I can't take a year to mix the next one!

Re: Our album released today, mixed 100% in auria

Thanks! We did use outside mastering, an online service we found. I had to do a tiny bit to it after getting it back , but I learned quickly that I am not a mastering engineer! To be honest, they didn't do anything drastic, but all the songs fit together better and sound more "right" across the boar...

Our album released today, mixed 100% in auria

Today our album was "officially" released on noisetrade, mixed entirely in auria. Physical copies will be available in a week or two through cd baby, and also on iTunes, etc., but you can get it on noisetrade now. Leave a tip if you feel so inclined, but most of all enjoy the music and share the lin...

Re: Tonestack IAA

If you set the core audio mode from multi route to standard that made it work for me. Audiobus mode didn't help. Also, in tonestack, if you are using the ipad speaker to listen for some reason, enable the "monitor built in mic" option in tonestack's audio preferences

Re: IAA request

What's the advantage of loading a mastering app in the master strip? Why not just put the file into the app Standalone and master it? Then your CPU is free for other plugins in auria and the mastering step becomes separate. I'm not trying to argue, different workflows for different people, but it wo...

Re: IAA request

That's a good idea. However, anytime I've used any effect that's not an auria plugin, be it audiobus or IAA, I print the effect as soon as I've decided it's right so I don't encounter that situation. It makes me commit and I think of it like using outboard gear that I may not have access to later or...

Re: Tonestack IAA issues

Switching the core audio mode from from multi route to standard seems to allow tonestack to work as an IAA. I'll continue to test that theory however.

Re: Tonestack IAA issues

Tonestack has buffer options as well, would increasing the buffer size to match auria's have the same effect? I will try audiobus mode too. That might be how I got it to work last night (it was 3am and I couldn't sleep...). Thanks for the response.

Tonestack IAA issues

Hi Rim, I just purchased tonestack by yonac and it sounds great but IAA is having some issues. Auria freezes up as soon as it is inserted. The same behavior happened with Magellan. Yonac let me know that they are working on improving IAA implementation as there are several ways to do it, but could y...

Oh, and good to know that overloud is that CPU hungry, I was considering it for the rack effects and plate sim.

Re: Advice on reducing CPU

When you mix down your soloed track, choose import as new track in the options. And stick with one convolution reverb. Use other reverb choices if you need more than one. You can also use audiobus to route to a reverb outside auria and back into a track, recording only the "wet" signal. Last time I ...

Can you explain what you mean by the pan knob being "dead on the left side?"

Re: Stereo track...pan is just a balance knob...?

That is a good idea, and both approaches have advantages, depending on your processing needs. If you do the delay trick then you can process in stereo, if you do the split stereo then you can use separate mono processors and use a bus for any stereo processing. Different workflows depending on what ...

Re: Stereo track...pan is just a balance knob...?

Quick n dirty hack to reduce the width- insert a stock delay plugin, set it to no delay, full wet, reduce the stereo spread. I don't like super wide stereo drums either.
