Re: Turn down Master Fader - clipping?

Thanks for the swift responses. It's a great relief to know that I can simply turn down the master fader to allow enough head room to prevent any clipping. I've been holding back doing this so far...now I'll adjust the master accordingly. I really didn't want to tamper with all my automation points....

Re: Old Timer vs MicroWarmer vs Pro-L

What would your typical setup chain be when using MicroWarmer? What I mean is, would you place it on the FX of the Master Channel (stereo bus) then bounce down the mix before mastering in a separate project (I'll probably be using Pro-L). Or would you bounce without Microwarmer, open a new project a...

Turn down Master Fader - clipping?

A couple of my mixes are slightly clipping and I have lots of volume automation on a lot of tracks. Can I turn down the Master Fader to prevent clipping or should this always remain at 0 (This solution would be by far the easiest)? It will be a real pain to adjust all the automation on every track. ...

Re: Old Timer vs MicroWarmer vs Pro-L

On Microwarmer, crank the gain a little (maybe 4-6 Db), turn the knee control up, turn the master down to compensate, and you get WICKED compression that can give you instant bonham, etc (of course, you'll need bonham to get that groove, but you know what I mean). Can't wait to try them...I'm going...

Re: Old Timer vs MicroWarmer vs Pro-L

My point wasn't that one is for mastering and the other is a compressor, you can use either where they are needed. A compressor and limiter are the same thing. However, old timers controls don't really let you set it as a limiter and probably vice versa with pro-L. But a hard knee and greater than ...

Re: Old Timer vs MicroWarmer vs Pro-L

Micro warmer is its own thing. It incorporates saturation and compression. Old timer is awesome on anything. Pro-L is a limiter, so you'd use it where you wanted limiting, old timer is more designed for gentle compression and if you push it it's not that transparent. I don't have Pro-L, but typical...

Old Timer vs MicroWarmer vs Pro-L

Firstly i want to mix vocals on a track and once the track is completely mixed I need to master it.

1) Is Old Timer a mix plug-in and Microwarmer a mastering plug-in?

2) If so is Old Timer good for vocal mixing/compression?

3) Lastly, Microwarmer or Pro-L for mastering and why?

Re: Audio disappeared

I've had the same problem recently on 2 songs. I've had frozen tracks which when they are un-frozen, the audio is deleted and a 'missing' message appears in a blank audio segment.

Is there now a fix to this issue as I can see a few people have had this but can't find the fix on the forum?

Re: Panning/Track Volume Issues

Hi Rim. Thanks for the reply. In answer to your suggestions: A couple of things I can think of: - Check the channelstrips on both tracks and see if the output controls are different on both tracks (or if any of the channelstrip settings are different between the two). - Check your headphones or spea...

Panning/Track Volume Issues

Hi all, a slightly strange one hear that I can't get my head around. I have a guitar riff that is panned -70 Left, which repeats but is panned +70 right. The problem is that the right panned version is louder than the left. I have checked the pan automation settings and they are both the same. There...

Delay BPM Sync & IR Files

Hi all. 1) I can see the standard delay in Auria doesn't have BPM sync...can anyone recommend the best Delay plug-in that offers BPM sync - I'm using this for vocals. 2) I want to get hold of IR's like Logic's 'Space Designer'...any recommendations? Can you buy these as an in-app purchase like Plug-...

Re: Any Plug-Ins similar to Space Designer?

Thanks.

Will existing Convolution Reverb settings remain intact after i've copied in any new IR files? If I have to re-insert them wont the settings be different? Not quite sure what you mean by step 4.
