Re: Ableton Link Update

there's still the option to send out MIDI clock (from Auria) and translate MIDI clock with another app to Ableton Link. From there you can distribute Link to other devices and computers running Live or Reason, all synchronized to Auria. I guess you could also synchronize Auria to Live, via MTC (incl...

Re: ASK THE RECORDING EXPERTS

I'm sure that this has been asked MANY times, but can Auria Pro send out MIDI information from it's own port (or to another app's) that can be used to drive an app in Audiobus that's sending Audio back into Auria? Or are the only options the IAA instruments listed on 'input'? Cheers, Oscar I think ...

Re: external storage

thank you very much Washboy, this is the solution. I forgot about 'Save Project to Other App', I should have known. The WD app doesn't allow files (archives) to 'open in', but it is possible, as you said, with FileBrowser. This is really great. Although it's not a very fast process (projects are tra...

external storage

this has been discussed before, but since I've got my first wireless harddrive I still have a few questions. It's a WD Passport wireless pro. - is it possible to copy a project (folder containing project file, MIDI data, and audio files) in and out of Auria? Well that's actually only one question, b...

Re: Audio to MIDI???

that's interesting. Didn't know about this (I prefer Harrison Mixbus on a small Windows tablet with large USB hub, somehow a better solution than iPad/Auria for me for a portable recording system). Thanks for the hint.

Re: vid of Xtouch working with auria

impressive. Thanks for the video. About connection issues, I have a similar experience with an older MFi audio/MIDI interface. After shutting devices down, the next day, it can become a serious problem until MIDI and audio is working again. A solution to that problem (although not a very good one) i...

Re: Apogee Duet iOS 9.2 compatibility

when I got my Duet 2 I borrowed several expensive microphones and made some 96 kHz recordings, just to see/hear what excellent interface I have. At last, after all those years, including 4- and 8-track cassette recorders and 2-track DAT which was limited to 44.1/48 kHz, I finally could make high-end...

Re: Apogee Duet iOS 9.2 compatibility

glad it worked out for you, but at the same time a bit worried why you were having trouble. I can only assume it had something to do with sampling rate, or more precisely, changing sampling rates often. Some time ago I made some tests with 96 kHz on iPad and hackintosh, which never exposed any probl...

I guess it is rather an USB/interface problem.

Re: How do we make Audio follow tempo changes?

well that's a bit complicated. Some desktop DAW's have a feature that analyses an audio file and derives tempo and tempo changes from it. But it includes manual work to be precise. I'm not sure if this is a very important feature for an iOS DAW, but why not?

Re: Is anyone using an Apogee Duet with Auria?

that's a bit strange. But this $30 cable will make things easier because you can keep the iPad charged while working with the interface.

Re: Apogee Duet iOS 9.2 compatibility

could be a sampling rate issue. I keep my Duet 2 at 44.1 kHz mostly.

I would try recording a mono or a stereo file with Apogee MetaRecorder. And also check the firmware with Maestro.

Re: Apogee Duet iOS 9.2 compatibility

the Apogee Duet 2 for iPad has always worked perfectly fine for me. Its functionality does not depend on the iOS version. Sorry to hear you're having problems. Is it the same device we are talking about? Do you have the Maestro app installed and working? Does Maestro recognise the device? Do you hav...

Re: Apogee Duet question

very strange. In that case I'm sorry that I can't help you anymore because I don't have a Circlon sequencer to try it out myself. The only thing I can advise is to consult Circlon developers. There must be something wrong.
