@Rim: About the slowness with waveform drawing: What kind of caching do you do for waveform drawing? I'm not sure, but if you use OpenGL for drawing, it would probably be a good idea to render a huge image of the entire Waveform of each part just ONCE and store it, and then just scale it while drawi...

@Rim: Don't actually use a denser dataset for the waveforms on the iPad 3, just interpolate linearly between the points so there is no visible 'blockiness' and the Retina fetishists are happy ;) Shouldn't give a huge performance impact.

I've been producing on "normal" DAWs for around 15 years now and recently looking into moving to iOS devices for composition and arrangement. If this app ever gets virtual instruments (including virtual analog synths), you can be sure as hell I'll buy it no matter if it's got an "introductory price"...
