Re: Drums from GarageBand to Auria?

Man, thanks for trying to help. I tried going to the More but it doesn’t bring up the Save to Files, only save to Dropbox and iTunes. It’s crazy that I can’t get this music file to Files. Have to do more research and maybe will just have to go through Dropbox. Frustrating! Thanks for the help.

Re: Drums from GarageBand to Auria?

That is the best way to go, but when I hit share in GB it doesn’t give me the Files option, and I have 11.0. That’s why I used Dropbox instead. I could not get the Files option to come up as a destination. Any suggestions? Thanks

Re: Drums from GarageBand to Auria?

Thanks guys. The easiest thing for me to do was share from GB to copy to Dropbox. It then was easy to take to AP. Don’t know why it won’t go directly there but this works.

Re: Drums from GarageBand to Auria?

Thanks, Cory. I’ve gotten to importing file from GarageBand to Auria but can’t find the file there after doing an import file. I’ve looked under the project I want to put it in and have selected but don’t seem to find it. Is it hidden somewhere? Thanks

Drums from GarageBand to Auria?

Ok, can’t seem to figure out how to get the virtual drummer loops from GarageBand into Auria. Can anyone help me out with explicit instructions? Thanks

Re: Automating sub-channels

Thanks, Anthony. I will be more diligent in the future in my search for info. Love Canadian people. Would move there if it wasn’t for the weather. I’m a beach kind of guy.

Re: Automating sub-channels

Thanks, Anthony, as always you are a big help. Didn’t see this info under automation so it must be under something else. This really helps a lot. Cheers to you. Wish I could go to a good pub right now, but I’m American. I assume you are British.

Automating sub-channels

I want to be able to automate a sub-channel in the edit screen using points like regular channels, but of course, the subs don’t have a channel in the edit screen. Does this mean I can only automate in the mix window with faders? I want to make sure I’m not missing anything. Thanks

Drums and drum loops?

Hey, out there. I am a song writer and guitarist but not a drummer. And I don’t always have a drummer available when I’m recording. This can be a problem when I’m doing a song that I want to take “big”. What are you folks using to create a drum track? Thanks for responding.

Re: Automation

Thanks for the info, Anthony. At least I don’t feel that I’m totally inept at something that should be simple. While I have zoomed the track when automating I probably haven’t made it as big as it could be, but at times I need to see other tracks in relation to what I’m automating. You have given th...

Automation

Automation is one of my biggest editing tools and it has proven quite “Helter Skelter” for me to use in Auria. Moving the points around with accuracy seems very difficult. Especially in small increments. And I don’t have big fat fingers. And keeping the value the same when touching it with my finger...

Re: Reversing Polarity

Thanks. Yeah, I was looking for the wave form to flip. I can deal with this. Just have to use my ears to see if it needs switching.

Copy track and other questions

First of all I want to thank all of you who have helped this newbie coming from Pro Tools over the last few months. It has been awesome! Sometimes I feel kind of stupid for asking simple questions about Auria which I can’t seem to figure out. And I do have some seemingly simple questions: 1) How can...
