Hi Paul, I had the same deliberation but no doubt you have already purchased one but for all others reading it works perfectly adding midi above the 2i2. I have a powered hub in the middle and causes no problems. I currently use Auria Pro with iPad Pro and the Scarlett 2i4. Regards Chris
