Re: Mono vs Stereo Tracks

I did a few more experiments with this method and recorded percussion with one conga full left and another panned full right; when dragging this stereo track to an empty mono track both congas hit the same db's in mono as they had in extreme stereo. So in my opinion this technique produces a genuine...

Re: Mono vs Stereo Tracks

...There is no way currently to directly change a stereo track into mono. It would be easiest if you just created mono audio tracks if you are going to be recording one mono mic to that channel... I know this thread is from February 2017 & it's now August 2017 but the subject and this quote fit my ...

That one has gotten a lot of us but is easy to forget about! Great memory to suggest it Corey.

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"

It's been brought up several times, and yeah there are other items on our wishlists that may be more desired, but one that is missing from Auria Pro that is really glaring is stereo track to mono or mono track to stereo. The latter can be accomplished easily enough by running the mono track through ...

Re: New Auria Video You Really Need To Know This

I posted a comment on YouTube that I'll paste here too... (Have to say that Tovokas echoes what I said to a tee. Coming from analog for years to digital was a complete change in regards to select recording habits that we just all took for granted.) Thanks Anthony. Coming from an analog background I ...

FabFilter Plug-In Updates

http://www.fabfilter.com/news/1489392000/all-fabfilter-pro-plug-ins-updated I received word of these updates in my email and I'm curious about the status of updates to FabFilter IAP's in Auria. Obviously any updates to the plug-ins necessitate a new Auria update, but does FabFilter provide updated A...

Re: Studio A is now complete

Thanks so much. First off I moved from my sailboat after my heart attack and purchased a little house. Sorry to let that vision of the boat dissapear but this studio is in my little house although I admit there are still times I hear the ocean calling me. Yes that is the Chandler Abby Road Edition ...

Re: Studio A is now complete

Right on Anthony. Early in 2015 when my wife suprised me with an Air 2 and I discovered Auria, your wholesale dedication to the app as your main recording platform was one thing that gave me the balls to try it too. It took me a few weeks of getting my workflow down, just getting used to the apps et...

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"

I searched the forum search utility but didn't see the two features that I'd love to see, sorry if these are repeats... 1) A simple 'bounce in place' style process that takes a stereo audio track and makes it into a mono track, combining the left & right. There are some convoluted work arounds for t...

Re: Fab Filter Pro R is excellent!

A lot of us were singing the praises Pro-R on the AudioBus forum, checked here & saw the thread. If you have any of the FabFilter plugs then you know the extreme quality they possess. Pro-R is so good, so versatile, it's easy to get hyperbolic about it, it really is that good. Thanks Rim for the upd...

Re: AU Hiccups

The issue is with the AU apps and not just the hosts. All developers are working on getting AU working seamlessly but that may take some time. I suggest reporting the specific steps that are causing a specific problem to both Wavemachinelabs and the respective AU app developers as well. This will h...

AU Hiccups

I know Audio Units as a platform is in it's infancy, especially in use in iOS based apps, but Auria Pro seems to deal with them beautifully one day and not even fire them up the next, even on the same AU app. Like the DDMF EQ & reverb apps weren't working as channel inserts, then after closing Auria...

Re: iVCS3 as an AU & Bounce in Place

Okay I'm a dumbass. In the edit view I was selecting the REGION of the MIDI track and not the actual track (area with mute, solo, track name, etc)... that's why Bounce in Place was greyed out. Now it works fine. See, the solution to most problems is usually the simplest (Occam's Razor), we just comp...

iVCS3 as an AU & Bounce in Place

Love the update to AU on iVCS3's modules. I just had to load up an envelope filter and an Lyra organ for some "Won't Get Fooled Again" style messing round. I have one question: I'm not a MIDI expert by far but use it, and certainly have more & more since the MIDI overhaul to Auria Pro. Anyway I reco...
