Re: Version 2.32 released

Every so often I get back into producing music on my iPad in a huge way because I find I’m simply more productive there with the reduced choices I have. (Though that’s changing with the continued growth of truly amazing tools on the platform…) After a while back on the iPad, however, I realize (for ...

Re: Ipados beta and auria?

I haven’t been doing a ton of music on my iPad of late, but firing up Auria, my existing projects seem to be working just fine in the current version of iPad OS on my second generation iPad Pro. Of course, I’m not going through every AU, etc., but I just spent a good hour moving through a song, play...

Re: V2.21 now available

Yep, Overload is a ‘boom to desktop’ crash here as well when I try to instantiate it. Latest iOS on original iPad Pro 12.9.

Re: Looking for decent alternatives to the Overloud THM plugins

A fix will be wonderful, and ToneBridge is interesting.

But if you have Saturn, Volcano, and Timeless, you can create some amazing guitar chains. It’s not as straight up as an amp sim, but these really are incredibly powerful tools to shape guitar sounds.

Re: REX FILES

Are there any iOS apps that support Rex2 files? I agree it would be cool, as I have many libraries in the format, but I haven’t heard a hint of anything supporting the format on the mobile side. Anyone heard different? :)

Beathawk AU and Unexpected Noise

When I have Beathawk loaded as an AU instrument, whenever I press stop, rewind to the beginning of the song, mute/unmute the Beathawk track, or arm any track, Beathawk sounds off with an atonal squawk based on the instrument currently loaded. The VU meter for the track jumps when the sound is trigge...

Re: How to use midi keyboard with Auria

Yes, once the powered hub is connected to your CCK, you just plug the keyboard and audio interface in like any other USB devices. As long as your midi device is class compliant (most are nowadays) the detection is generally seamless and you’ll be up and running in no time. (I have an Atollo powered ...

Re: Auria App and Document Size

A blank Auria install doesn’t use nearly that much room. Have you tried restarting the device? I’ve had a number of cleanups of various apps that didn’t show the reclaimed space in settings until after a restart.

New FabFilter Compression Tutorials

I love FabFilter tutorials! They’ve just released a 3-part “Beginners Guide to Compression” series, and needless to say, I imagine even old-pros will find something of value in it. Since Dan is using Pro-C2 to demonstrate everything, it’s also a fantastic overview of just how flexible and powerful t...

Re: Symphonic Strings?

There are nice string sounds out there that you can load into Lyra, but the process is (by all accounts) a bit more complicated than loading up an AU. I second iSymphonic: it is an AU, and there are great sounding, and diverse, instruments available. It’s likely best to wait for a sale, or the tempt...

Re: Recording Amplitube into Auria....

It’s rumored that IK Multimedia is looking to bring some of their iOS apps to AU, but Amplitude currently is iAA only. As mentioned, I highly recommend staying away from IAA: it’s buggy, there’s no state saving, and it will likely only bring you woe. (This is from someone who owns the Amplitude app ...

Re: does Apple Slowing Down Older Devices affect Auria

Again, this seems like an iPhone only thing, but Apple is responding to the anger by reducing the cost of iPhone battery replacements in 2018 to around $30. I’ll happily take advantage of that for my iPhone 6s plus next fall. :) They’ll also be adding tools that better display battery conditions, et...

Re: ALERT*How does Apple Slowing Down Older Devices affect Auria

Now I haven’t researched this too closely, but I haven't heard any mention that Apple is doing this with iPads in addition to the iPhones (6, 6s, SE, and 7) they specifically mentioned. Or that it slows down devices while they are plugged in, etc. Regardless, easier and more cost efficient battery r...
