Just checked and it was on auto cleanup! Is this a setting I will have to remember to change every time I start a project? Still don't understand why it would have deleted this track anyway tho, as although it was frozen, it was clearly being used.

I doubt it, I hadn't turned it on but I'll have a look when I get back from work. I had a look through audio files using import audio and it's completely gone from there also. Oh dear! Spent untold hours on this project and nearly finished and poof there goes the overhead track!!! Unfroze it to edit a ringing cymbal and completely gone. Can't get it back from previous snapshots. I do hope there is a fix for this andcan get it back. Spent far too much precious time on this...

I have been having this problem too although it happens on lots of tracks at different times and can be difficult to locate other than seeing the difference in volume on the faders.
