Re: I’m great with software- but I’m so lost

My mistake. I misread IAA as AUV3. You still call it up the same way though, and not as an insert effect.

Re: I’m great with software- but I’m so lost

No, an AUV3 instrument is not loaded as an insert (if you want to play from MIDI). You need to add a MIDI track and load it as an instrument. Click on the channel FX tab on the top of the channel you are using, then MIDI control, then select it as an instrument. Then on the mixer page, you need to c...

Re: Can't IMPORT MIDI

I’ve run into this as well. Auria seems to be incredibly picky about what sort of MIDI file it can import. My solution is to load the MIDI file into MixBus on my PC, and export it as a fresh MIDI file. Auria can read that.

Drums with Auria

Coming back into DAW recording after a bit of a hiatus, I’ve been testing drum programs. So far, I’m liking Digistix the most. It has AUV3 and standalone versions (which lets me play around with drum parts before I start adding other instruments), does velocity layers and round robin for a natural s...

Trying Cubasis and Beatmaker

I took a few year break from recording music to concentrate on my guitar playing. Now, I am beginning to get back into multitracking and wanted to make sure I was using the best DAW. I just spent a month or so delving into Cubasis 3, and then Beatmaker 3, then back to Auria Pro. Both of those progra...

Can I sequence external midi sound modules from Auria?

I have a Roland Integra-7 with some cool sounds I would like to use. So far I haven’t figured out how to use external midi sounds from Auria. Is it possible? If so, how?

Yes, that works. Selecting a bunch of points is still awkward though.

Moving damper controller data

I am doing a piano part for a song and there is a slowdown at the end. I’ve moved the notes into place for the rit., but the damper pedal is early and I can’t figure out how to move it. Is there a way to grab a chunk of controller data and slide it forward or backward in time? If so, how?

Re: Sound quality cheap vs expensive inter.

I have a Golden Age Project Pre 73 jr pre amp, a Golden Age Project Ribbon microphone R1 MK II and a Martin guitar, quite great quality gear, but when I record through my Roland Duo Capture EX into my iPad Air 2 the sound isn’t very good. I have no acoustic absorber but puts a blanket behind the mi...

Re: ANY ADVICE FOR USING ALLAN & HEATH MIXER INTERFACE?

The settings that are important in Auria are the following: Go to settings, then the record tab. Then select “record monitor off”. This will let you monitor input channels 1 through 4 from the Zedi10fx mixer without hearing the delayed internal monitoring from Auria at the same time. Exit and go the...

I don’t know about importing midi files with Auria, but I do know that midi recording that happens within Auria works very well.

I would kiss you if you were closer! (It’s probably good that you aren’t ;-)) Thanks so much! This will have such a positive impact on the way I use this program!
