Re: Praying for MIDI in auria
One of the things that discourages me from using my iPad for serious music production is all this in-app audio and audiobus stuff. I hate flipping between apps! If Auria can reach a level where all the VSTi, MIDI sequencing, and recording options are self-contained, I'm sold. Until then, I will cont...

Re: MIDI Sequencer Design Wishlist
That screenshot brings back fond memories. The MIDI clock on the ST was incredibly stable. You could drive 16 tracks across multiple synths and it would never falter.

Re: MIDI Sequencer Design Wishlist
Maybe we should sell our iPads and buy an old Atari St on Ebay. Heck, Atari Falcons are selling for $700+ these days! There's still an active Atari Music community out there where you can download a cracked version of Atari Cubase 3.1 http://www.atarimusic.net

Re: MIDI Sequencer Design Wishlist
What blows me away, is how in 1984, you could do way more with MIDI on a 1MB Atari ST than you can with any of these iOS MIDI apps. In 1984, the Atari could handle every kind of MIDI protocol you could throw at it, including raw SysEx editing. You could even do microtonal scale tuning with an Atari ...

Re: Latency Issue with Auria
Ok, it turns out the the latency issue has more to do with with the 44.1K, 48K, or 96K settings. Basically, 96K slows the whole thing down to a crawl. Should that really happen on an iPad Air?

Re: Latency Issue with Auria
Hi Rim. I am using a Focusrite 6i6 with a microphone in input 1 and a keyboard in inputs 3+4. I'm listening back with studio monitors and the recording monitor function turned on in Auria set to 128 samples. I'm not running any other apps in the background either. Like I said, this problem is happen...

Latency Issue with Auria
On both my ipad 4 and new iPad Air I have an annoying latency issue with Auria when using the recording monitor. Even with the Record Latency set to 128 samples (lowest option available) I can't play my keyboard into it in real-time. The delay is frustrating. Quite frankly, it feels like a whole qua...

Re: AURIA for the iPHONE???
Cubasis integrates MIDI sequencing into the core of the program. In v1.8, they will also include MIDI automation. I don't think this is a good idea for Auria to make MIDI an IAP. It should be integrated into the core like any other DAW program. As an IAP, wouldn't it make the whole process slow and ...

Re: Midi Track with Audio both inside
This is an intriguing idea that would keep the total number of tracks I use to half! The way I create music on a DAW is that I do everything live via MIDI until the very end when I'm satisfied with the composition and want to record the audio. Currently, I don't use Auria for composing because I don...

I look forward to that day! I'm curious to know, are you the only programmer working on Auria? How big is your development and marketing team?Rim wrote:When we release the midi version, we'll definitely be talking with all the synth developers.

Re: Auria 1.12 Submitted to Apple
The complexities of midi sequencing are all in the editor itself. And that can't be a plugin. Rim That makes sense. I suppose an IAP would make it more messy and complicated. To be honest, I hate opening up separate apps and connecting them together just to create a song (MIDI sequencer, virtual sy...

Rim, have you considered implementing MIDI sequencing functionality via an IAP? Wouldn't that make it easier and faster for you?

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
So today Auria is on sale for 50% off. I haven't bought it yet because I'm waiting for full MIDI sequencing implementation including SysEx and CC messages so I can work with hardware synths. RIM, can you update us on the timeline for full MIDI implementation? Should I buy it now and park the app tem...

Re: Anyone gone 3gen iPad to 4gen iPad due to Auria?
As soon as iPad 5 is out, I'm buying it. With the new A7x chip, I can imagine a dozen juicy virtual synths, a sequencer, and Auria all working in perfect synchronicity...or am I dreaming? Maybe iPad 6.
