Re: Apple Airport time capsule for external hard drive

I've tried a few different approaches: I picked up a seagate goflex a year or 2 ago and tried with both the stock firmware and a hacked firmware via http://www.hackseagatesatellite.com/ (which expanded the drive quite well and made it more a standard NAS) and neither would work well with Auria direc...

Re: Major Auria Announcement

It's taken me a week just to come back down from the excitement of the announcement on Monday! Well done! I'm looking forward to the spring equinox more than ever!

Re: Google Drive?

"Open in..." Support was just added to the Google drive app yesterday and I would love that feature more for Panic's Transmit ftp app to send projects back and forth to my goflex or home ftp server. Fingers are crossed everyday when an Auria update is posted.

Re: iOS8 at the door..

I don't believe iOS 8 has reached a GM status yet. Once that ships then it usually releases a few weeks later. I imagine we'll see iOS 8 by the end of the month. Not tomorrow unfortunately.

Re: WiFi drives: Anyone tried them yet?

Just this spring I put my last operating PPC machine out to pasture, but I'm wondering if ifunbox might still work on them? Another option might be with vanilla linux distros. They ship with all the goodies to dig into the file system of the ipad to manage files. That is if you're looking for a budg...

Re: WiFi drives: Anyone tried them yet?

Hello. I just logged on to their forum this weekend to see what was new and saw that there was an update to the goflex. From what I gathered, the newest and most useful feature is they rolled in Bittorrent Sync which is similar to dropbox, but does not require the data to traverse thru the cloud. Th...

new ifile lets you see the file system

So this might not hang around the app store for too long, but you might check out: http://www.cultofmac.com/280820/manage-ios-files-la-desktop-ifile-file-manager-sponsored-post/?utm_campaign=twitter&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitter I took the gamble and tossed in my $2 and can confirm t...

Re: Storage Solutions for iPad with Auria

I've been continuing to tinker on this topic and i have a convoluted solution figured out. I picked up a raspberry pi over the weekend and the default raspbian install has basically everything you need: primarily libimobiledevice. With the seagate goflex and the raspberry pi, i can browse the file s...

Re: WiFi drives: Anyone tried them yet?

After too much time tinkering and researching I gave up with further hacking of the goflex drive. Somebody with a little more ability might have got it to work, but it was beyond me. Next I researched into rolling my own dropbox server proxy thing to make auria 'think' it's dropbox transfer was to d...

Re: WiFi drives: Anyone tried them yet?

I did just have somewhat of a thought regarding these drives that *might* work: From my limited understanding most of the wireless hdds, like the goflex, they run a flavor of linux. IF you could get libimobiledevice compiled and running, I think you could set up some sort of mount/rsync script over ...

Re: WiFi drives: Anyone tried them yet?

I have a seagate goflex with a hacked firmware which allows a bunch of added features, but unfortunately nothing helpful for this solution. I got it solely for the use with auria, but i haven't found a nonjailbreak solution yet to move projects without the help of a desktop via ifunbox. It's not to ...

multitrack drum apps

Apologies if this has been covered; I did skim the search briefly for any related topics. I was curious if there were any preferable apps that exported to separate track files like DM1. I like that app a lot, i was just curious if there were any others? Google and some of the ios specific sites don'...

At sort of a timeline on that update? (Sorry, I have to ask. don't mean to nag)

Auria is ah-mazing, btw.
