Hpw to delete entire project from iPad
I did a test recording at 96 kHz and it ran for several hours on many tracks. 14 Gb of data. I want to wipe it entirely from the iPad and my Mac. Looked through the manual and didn't see how. So how?

Re: Presonus 1818VSL: Field Test and Pros & Cons
That's great they are officially supporting! Would have got that one but doesnt have enough preamps, the Presonus has lightpipe i/o and worldclock i/o so im pretty stoked about it. Lynn have you been able to get all 8 inputs recording at once at 96k without artifacts? and please tell us of your buf...

Re: Record Latency Adjustment in Prefs?
Thanks, Rim. I wasn't referring to the record buffer. I just didn't understand from the description what that feature actually did. You explained it well.

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
If someone hasn't mentioned it, it would be nice if the names of the recorded Audio Files were derived from the actual track names on the faders. So whatever is recorded on the track labeled Bass, those files would be labeled as Bass 01-1, instead of Audio 01-1, Kick would be Kick 01 instead of Audi...

Record Latency Adjustment in Prefs?
I'm not sure I understand what this feature does, even though I've read through the paragraph several times. Excerpt from page 32 of the manual: Record Latency Adjustment – Enter a time value, in samples, to shift recorded audio earlier during recording. Auria automatically attempts to detect the ha...

According to Focusrite, the Scarlett 18i6 and 8i6 are officially supported. I have the 18i6 here. Works great.trupro wrote:are any usb interfaces by these major manufacturers 'officially supported for iPad' by their tech support clauses?

Re: ipad mini ?
I have a friend who has an iPad 2 with Auria on it. We compared the speed of visual scrolling and it was drastically different. Add to that the more powerful processor in the iPad 4 and I think the iPad 4 is the clear winner, unless of course sheer size of the unit is the determining factor. Based o...

Re: Presonus 1818VSL: Field Test and Pros & Cons
I would like to stress that, while the Presonus 1818VSL works with Auria and I used it successfully, it is NOT officially supported at this time (November 2012) by Presonus for use with iPad. If you call their tech support with an issue, as I did several times, they will ask about your computer plat...

WiFi drives: Anyone tried them yet?
I know there are many different WiFi drives showing up these days, such as these in this article. http://www.businessinsider.com/best-wifi-hard-drives-2011-8?op=1 Has anyone tried using them for offline storage of large sessions? I'm just considering solutions for quickly transferring large projects...

Mics for Auria
I am writing a review for Pro Audio Review about USB mics that can be used with iPads. I tried out the Apogee MiC, Audio-Technica 2005USB and 2020USB, BLUE Snowball and Yeti Pro and also auditioned the CEntrance MicPort Pro for using regular studio mics with XLR out. They all work with the iPad alth...

Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread
I tried the Presonus 1818VSL, the Focusrite18i6, and a Focusrite OctoPre via lightpipe into the Presonus. The Octopre sounded the best and was quieter than the Presonus. The 18i6 sounds good but you'll need more than two preamps likely. NOTE: The Presonus will work with an iPad but, as their tech su...

Re: Presonus 1818VSL: Field Test and Pros & Cons
A powered USB hub will NOT charge an iPad 3 or iPad 4. I know that for a fact. I tried it.
Also, I recorded 16 tracks, with a band and singer, at 24/48K, using the Presonus 1818 and an auxiliary Fosusrite Octopre to iPad 3, with the band monitoring in headphones at 256 buffer.
