Re: External storage with USB interface

The trouble is the way iOS handles external storage: it is very limited. You can connect your interface via a powered USB hub and then plug additional devices into the hub and they will function just as they would if plugged in direct, but that functionality tends not to extend to using an external ...

Re: Lyra

I have had no problem installing Soundfonts to Lyra.
I've used both iFunBox and also just the iOS 11 file app.
Put unpacked/unzipped *.SF2 files in a top-level subfolder in the 'Sampler Instruments' folder.

Re: Flanger on the whole mix.

It's sometimes used here and there on a subgroup, eg the drums on some Small Faces recordings, notably Itchykoo Park, and obscurely Hard When You’re So Far Away by Ian Lloyd and Stories produced by Eddie Kramer. It's not a thing I've ever noticed on a whole mix, it would have to be crazy subtle or w...

Pop up piano roll keyboard- no sound. Ever. SOLVED

Likely a dumb question but can't find it documented: A feature I've only just tried to explore for the first time, despite lots of pre-MIDI Auria experience: In piano-roll editing, the vertical keyboard at left plays synth notes, but the popup keyboard overlay triggered top left never makes any soun...

Could two identical NanoKONTROL2 work simultaneously?

I believe I looked into this a few years ago and was told that two identical controllers could not work in Auria?
Is this the case?
If possible I would love to be able to have 16 hardware faders by plugging in two of the Korg 8 track controllers.

Alternative AuriaLink function...

I don't need to chain two iPads for additional tracks, but if I could have my second iPad offer the mixer view whilst my main iPad stayed in track view, that would be super useful.

Access track MIDI config from piano roll

It seems there is no way to directly access a track's MIDI configuration from the piano roll editor. An FX button there (to trigger the MIDI config tab), say beside the (x) to close, or as press-and-hold on an existing control would fit my workflow excellently. Unless I've overlooked an existing way...

Re: Auria 1.06 is approved and live

iouparte, There is a 'Release Notes' topic always on this forum, about fifth from top. In the case of v1.06 it says: - FIXED: When freezing a track containing a plugin that used a preset, the name of the preset is not displayed upon unfreezing. - FIXED: Timeline and snapping functionality is not wor...

Re: iPad 4

It's natural to want minute-by-minute updates to cutting-edge technical innovation right up to the instant you buy a product followed by a total lockdown moratorium on any development for at least 12 months thereafter. This issue has caused me repeated misery since that first awful occasion: the day...

Re: New Hollywood drum loops issue

There's an interesting overall issue here. Auria makes a lot of 'professional' level functionality much more accessible and affordable. It's natural for those for whom the app is a big step up in sophistication to think of pro standards as representing 'the best' but easy for it to be overlooked tha...

Re: Reorder tracks

If you follow Washboy's instructions you'll be fine so long as you hold your finger still for a moment before moving. After that moment you'll see a slight movement as the track 'unsticks'. You can then drag it to wherever you want it to be.

Re: Track freezing vs Aux sends....?

There's room to do both in whatever combination works best creatively. Possible considerations might be: A stereo Aux reverb might help place the mix in a realistic overall space. A stereo Aux reverb might compromise spatial separation of tracks in the mix. Insert reverbs allow unique reverb charact...

Re: Can't Open Project

Rim, that's excellent. I know I have posted in the past requesting 'edit decision lists' / mixes being savable separately to overall projects, but I must say on reflection that thinking about that simply as a matter of project file backups seems very appropriate.

Re: Can't Open Project

The automated rolling backups are a good thing but manual prj file backups would be a powerful addition. Users could backup at waypoints which made sense within their workflow, and potentially keep dozens as a project evolves. If automated recovery fails, I'd rather go back six hours work or a day o...

Re: Importing wav files from dropbox

What is the spec of the file: mono/stereo, sample rate, bit depth, duration? Is it definitely a PCM wave file? There's a free utility called MediaInfo (for desktop/laptop) which is great for checking out every attribute of a file. If all else fails, try 'bouncing' it to a new regular wave file on a ...
