I had been seriously considering the Lexicon Omega until I read the reviews on Amazon - seems like it has reliability problems :( My second option is the Akai EiE but, though it has four inputs, can it actually record four tracks at once? Surely the song must end somewhere at the end of some region, not in the middle of a long silence!
The playback could stop at the end of the region which has the latest end time. To take care of any reverb tails you could just make sure you extend the region a few seconds, maybe?

When playing back a project, Auria doesn't stop when it gets to the end of the last region Why?
