Re: The Working / Not working audio interfaces thread
I just picked up a Behringer Xenyx 302USB mixer and can confirm that with the CCK and a POWERED USB hub (a little Plugable 4-port hub in this case: http://plugable.com/products/usb2-hub4bc which conceivably could be used to charge the iPad too, though not while the CCK is connected of vourse), it do...

Re: Mixture of Ribbons and Condensors
I'm using an ART Dual Tube Pre. It has two tube preamps which are perfect for ribbon mics, and a pretty solid USB interface which is compatible with the CCK without the use of a hub. It's only 16/44.1k, but it does have a SPDIF output which you can use with another interface.

Re: About take Video
Alternately, you can shoot the video with the iPad camera (or iMovie or whatever) and then export the audio from that movie as a .wav. I'm trying to think of a movie editing app on the iPad that will let you do this. There may or may not be one, but it's easily done on a PC or MAC. Then import that ...

Re: Bit rate
I researched the heck out of the Lexicon Omega about a month ago. I've heard reports (on Amazon and elsewhere) that it's not the most reliable unit around. I was also looking at the Alesis iO4 as another option for recording 2 tracks of 24-bit audio or 4 tracks of 16-bit audio at once (plus MIDI, wh...

Re: Bit rate
My experience has been that when using the CCK with a compatible audio interface, you can use the bit depth of the interface, whether it's 16-bit or 24-bit (the CCK doesn't actually do any audio processing, it's just a dock connector-to-USB interface, so it doesn't care whether or not the device con...

Re: Anyone got some impressions on PSP Echo?
I own a lot of PSP's plug-ins for the PC, and I just got an email from them this morning advertising their new PSP Echo plug-in for PC and Mac -- introductory pricing $69 (going up to $99). It looks nearly identical to the Auria version, so I think this is the first case where a major plug-in was re...

Re: USB hub no power or apple cck kit needed, look here.
I've had pretty good results with this dock extender cable. It latches into the port on the bottom of the ipad, so it stays secure (you squeeze the sides of the connector to remove it):

Now that you mention it, I did have loop enabled! I should have known you guys would already be tracking it. I LOVE this app!Rim wrote:This could happen when looping. There's a know bug filed already for that. Did you have loop enabled when this happened?

Re: Out of sync after rec
I've had a different but probably related issue occur a few times: sometimes in playback, the playback head (or whatever the vertical line that shows the current song position is called) will actually lag behind the audio being played by a few seconds. Usually stopping and restarting playback fixes ...

Re: Memory warning
I've gotten memory errors too, with a seven-track project, after doing a lot of freezies and unfreezies on an iPad 3. I get the error, and click it away, and nothing bad ever happens.

I haven't received mine yet (it must be on the slow boat), but I do have to say that I'm really digging the dock extender cable I got a while back (dock extender cable -> CCK -> USB cable). That thing is really handy.

Re: To Duplicate a track with all FX
The ability to save/load chains of effects (effect chains) would be VERY useful as well. I use the same effects on all my vocal tracks, just about, so the ability to recall those chains with the individual effects settings on new vocal tracks would be very useful.

Re: Auria reviewed on Sonic Touch
That's not a bad idea: give users more control over the display options. Meteor does this (you can turn off waveforms altogether if you want). Actually, if you want an interesting read, check out the Meteor online manual sometime -- it goes into some pretty good detail about the different ways that ...
