I too am having "updater's remorse" in a serious way. Instead of a fun portable way to make music I now walk around on eggshells doing even the most basic stuff in iOS... No good!
Martygras- how is it going lately with the EIE and the Air?

Re: Audio interfaces That Work With IOS 7 & Lightning Connec
It's a damned shame... Worked flawlessly in ios6.. What changed? I've still got the ipad3 so if it's happening on the new iPad too does that mean it's not a memory/CPU power issue? IAA is still not even possible for me- as soon as I open up sunrizer or nave the "garble" starts immediately!...

Re: Best way to transfer Beatmaker tracks to Auria?
It's not ideal, but it's not really that hard?!? Copy paste the sequence to as many new tracks (press plus tab for the same drum machine) as you need, go into each copy, select the notes on the left (on piano roll which selects all same notes in sequence) and delete what you don't want. Until BM2 ge...

Re: Audio interfaces That Work With IOS 7 & Lightning Connec
I have been using the EIE since before auria came out with excellent results. Until ios7, that is.... The problem I have run into is when my iPad screen locks. Now in Beatmaker 2 it behaves like clockwork- pressing the home button and swiping makes the audio get fragmented and start to echo, becomin...

Re: What iPad 5 64 bit architecture means for Auria?
"Auria has always been 64 bit through the entire audio path"
64 bit processor just means addressing more ram, 64 float processing in an audio scenario is completely different.

Re: Protools or New iPad?
Fwiw, I think it would be completely reasonable for you guys to pull a digidesign and only support one or maaaybe two external drives. "If you want this feature, buy this device. " I agree 100%... Digidesign took great risks back in the day with their proprietary hardware schemes, and obv...

Re: Protools or New iPad?
The learning curve for Protools is intense. Many users have switched from Protools to other software to have a change in sound. I would have to respectfully disagree with these comments. If you use auria, you can use protools. It's as simple as you want to make it, or deeper than deep. As far as a ...

Re: AURIA for the iPHONE???
I'm def with ya on the addition of midi. To me (and this is very premature of course) it's like when Reason added audio tracks. Unnecessary, and bloated the program to all hell. I've got Auria backed up, so if it does turn out that way I won't be updating, and I'll probably just stop using it altoge...

@shay there's really no reason to apologize. You had a very valid point. Superfluous feature requests take time and energy away from the dev's.

Re: IPad 1, Iodock, Auria?
Obstacles and limitations aside, if all you had was first generation iPad, IO Dock and Auria, would that stop you from composing and arranging? Would you allow your creative vision to fade away because it took a lot of extra time and effort to produce your music? As I understand it, you grow the mo...

Look up the cable jive dock extender cable. Or something similar, but make sure it has 30 pin pass thru. Most cheap ones don't.

Re: AURIA for the iPHONE???
Hi all IPhone version people, You forget only one small thing. Auria is developed by a single developer, meaning that iPhone version development will have hard implications on the IPad version, which already takes 100% of Rim's time. Unless you are all willing to volunteer (for free) to help Rim de...

Re: Hissing
Are you using an external soundcard that has SPDIF? Sounds like it could set to external sync where there is none.
That would create a hiss like you describe, and why you don't hear it in Audacity.
