Re: Protools or New iPad?
I would choose the option that will allow you to get more work done, period. iOS stuff is great, (I own Auria, BM2, Cubasis, and countless synth apps), but why limit yourself to just your iPad? I think too many folks get caught up in the novelty of the touch screen, myself included. Don't be an &quo...

Re: Newbie Import question
Wow, @syrupcore, I wasn't aware nano studio had audio track import.
Maybe the fix was to upsample the bits....
I was merely suggesting that since pro tools can import BM2 wav's without issue, it's possible that the importing process in apps should be more robust, as @Rim said.

Re: Newbie Import question
Again, thanks and to be clear I'm not knocking Auria in any way shape or form.

Re: Newbie Import question
Great to hear a fix is coming- quick observation though- I use BM2 almost exclusively and have never once had a problem with opening up exported wav's in protools (LE8 btw).. As the sad owner of a mere 16gb iPad, constant shuffling around of wav's and apps is a day to day operation. Hopefully after ...

Re: How can I run an interface and charge iPad at the same t
That's a great price on the Lexicon. The big selling point of the EIE is the built in USB hub (allowing you to connect up to 3 different midi controllers), but if you can live with just hardware (DIN) midi I would go with the Lexicon. As far as the component video kit, yeah, it also works with iPhon...

Re: How can I run an interface and charge iPad at the same t
I haven't heard of anyone getting any iPad to charge with the dockstubz attached. We are starting to see interfaces specifically for the iPad now that will charge, so the cck/USB interface was (and is) kind of a cobbled together setup. But it works great for me. I've integrated my iOS setup into my ...

Re: Recommend a interface for a iPad Music class
Here is where I recommend the Akai EIE again.. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/EIE On sale at $179 and I've seen it as low as $139 in the past. No need to mess with powered hubs- it has one built into the back for USB midi gear. Best all around value for an iPad interface! Wow I am sounding l...

Re: This device is not supported error -ipad mini/akai EiE
Which reminds me- @matt the working audio interface lists the EIE as needing a powered hub to work, which may be misleading. The EIE has its own power supply,(wall wart) and the hub is built into the back, making the EIE the most versatile audio interface for the iPad I have encountered. Not to ment...

Re: Auria's Midi Controllers.
Very excited about the Auria update as well- just to clarify, I've been controlling Beatmaker 2 (sans mute/solo) for over a year now with my mpd32.
