Just to confirm - okay to upgrade to iOS 10?
I couldn't find the original thread, and the search doesn't take for "iOS 10". I've been withholding the upgrade notification for my iPad to maintain reliability with Auria. Are we okay to upgrade now? Do I upgrade Auria first, then iOS? (What should the latest version of Auria be?)

Re: The "Auria Wishlist Thread"
When creating or opening a new 24 bit 48Khz project, if there is a 44Khz app in the background (and sometimes even if there's not), Auria will throw a "Could not create (or open) project because there is a background app running in a lower mode" (or something like that). No problem. The problem is, ...

Re: Apogee duet 2 / RME Babyface Pro
Ah! Pardon my oversight. My comparison was between the Duet 2 and the original Babyface, not the Pro, though as I understand it, the Pro uses the same preamps, so my comparison still holds regarding the sound for mics (though not for line ins, which as I understand it do not use the preamps). Let us...

Re: Apogee duet 2 / RME Babyface Pro
My pleasure, but before you buy, understand you're not getting 4 inputs at a time, only two (with either device) unless you expand the Babyface with an ADAT or SPDIF connection to a compatible device. I did not experiment with this so I can't comment. If you need 4 inputs out of the box you'd need t...

Pitch fine tune not working on vocal?
I noticed I can highlight part of a region, and change its pitch up or down in whole units (half note increments), but the fine tune knob does not appear to be working, so I cannot change pitch in less than a whole unit value (half note increment). I'm trying to correct the pitch on a note that was ...

Re: Apogee duet 2 / RME Babyface Pro
I tried both of these devices using Auria and Auria Pro on the iPad mini. Both interfaces work like a charm. Soundwise, the RME and the Apogee both sound awesome, but nothing alike. You've read it before, and you'll read it again because it's true: the RME is nice and neutral whereas the Apogee is n...

Re: No audio going in
Bingo! Thanks, Washboy! Curiously, that even fixed the problem I had with external interfaces too. Strange. But back to work. Thanks again!

No audio going in
Fresh install, there's no signal going in, only going out, whether I'm using an audio interface or even just the internal mic. Other apps work just fine. Please help. Ipad has been reset, Auria has been reinstalled, new project opened, no signal coming in, not even from the built in mic. (again, the...

Re: Transferring songs to pc
Cool. I'll have to check that out too. So might this be an easier way to back up our projects than going through iTunes (which I'm not a big fan of)?

Re: Audio output levels / Mastering tutorial
do IAP plugins sound better than internal plugins? They can, but it's not always the sound that you're paying for, nor just the look and feel. The two main reasons I buy an IAP plugin are for its added flexibility and its sound. The Fabfilter Pro-Q, for example, has an insane amount of functionalit...

...you will still get an emotional kick from the rubbish track, just because it's louder. It doesn't lead to long term musical satisfaction... Dominic Exactly. It does give you that initial impact. But it doesn't last. I get listening fatigue much quicker listening to the radio - even if it's at a ...

Re: Audio output levels / Mastering tutorial
3) Commercial/pro mastering engineers now have a sordid array of very expensive equipment to get levels slammed to 0dB (and sometimes over - digital clipping is becoming increasingly common). The tools consist of an army of specialist (often expensive) plugins, D/A convertors, summing boxes, A/D co...

Re: AURIA More Logic than Logic and More Cubase then Cubasis
We've been doing so since day one: Auria has changed the game. I won't knock the PC DAWs, which still have more horsepower (and screen) for handling multiple processor-intensive plugins, etc, but it's a matter of time before the CPU discrepancy gets narrow enough, and they start to make larger touch...
